The only downside is that it is placed “upside down,” so I couldn’t attach the wick to the wax beforehand.

You have to wait for it to dry well, then pull it down until it’s at the bottom.
Then, carefully turn and remove it; it may tear petals.
I use Ecomix wax.
I loved it, it’s for a flower shop, I always make the flowers into candles for her to make the bouquets.
