The insoles are thicker to provide comfort yet they are not too thick. The good thing is that they can stay very stable inside the shoes while not tightening your feet inside the shoes. The bad thing is that the heels are not thicker than the front toes part and I think the heels need to be thicker when I see the picture which gave me a wrong image.
