plug and play. no software installation needed. windows has camera app to operate it. I am happy with the quality of the video and photo. I took one of my lamp as sample. clear for the price $US 7. I do amateur videos (not professional) so it is perfect, the resolution is good. also good in dark rooms. on the camera has indicators green means there is power red means the camera is on. the lid does not lock-in place when open or close. so it might move around, but not too much. it will still work. Overall if you just want to do very amateur photos or videos I can recommend. But if you want more professional photos videos you need to get better, and also spends more.

For the price 10/10, the picture looks a bit pixelated, doubt it’s real 2k probably upscaled, but it’s at least 1080p and looks decent.
