I have owned the original version since it was released and purchased this one for the additional frequency range. Its performance in dynamic range surprised me though, it’s a lot better and especially so higher in the frequency range. It does provide a view (uncalibrated) up to 12ghz and a much improved, spur reduced view up to 7.5ghz. Given it cost a small fraction of my next cheapest spectrum analyser which only goes to 1.5ghz it’s very good bang for the buck.
