These things have been around for ages, and this one works as expected. It has good reach and is strong enough to pick up my overloaded ring of truck keys, so i have no worries that it will pick up dropped screws and the occasional socket.

This is actually a cool little gadget. Magnet seems strong enough to get a bolt or dropped socket from a crevice under the hood of truck. The light on the end works and is actually a good idea, as i have others without the light and this frees up a hand that otherwise would be holding a flashlight.

This is a really mechanically substantial rod, which is awesome when using a magnet to retrieve. It is exactly as advertised; the light works well, the magnet is very strong, and it holds it’s strength when fully extended. My kids are currently using it as a toy in the basement, so i’m guessing i’ll have to buy another to keep in my tool chest.

This telescopic magnetic pickup tool works exactly as intended. The magnet is strong enough to grab small fasteners in tight or hard-to-reach spots, and the built-in led was a nice surprise — it makes it much easier to see what you’re picking up. Shipping was fast, and i’m happy with the purchase.

I was sceptical that this would perform as advertised, especially for the price. So i tested it with some steel fixtures in the shop. It easily lifted a 12 ounce (340g) steel block, which is likely to exceed the heaviest item i will ever attempt to retrieve with it. Five stars.
