These are strong, sturdy chains to use with equipment that you need fairly frequently to hand. Although i may only need one or two, i bought the four pack as the price is very competitive. I intend using one to hold my bear whistle and one to hold a map case, making both easy to reach. The carabiner type hook should take a fairly heavy load, although it is plastic and the extension clip is strong and easy to use being flat, not round. Overall, these should be a useful addition to my pack when hiking. Very happy so far.
