Actually, the “hose” is a proper catheter, with a slotted and rounded tip that allows for gentle insertion and either irrigation or fluid extraction. The one that came with my 250ml syringe is 5.3mm o.d. The 250ml syringe itself is nicely manufactured, appears of good quality.
