Since i am still fairly new at the whole candly making thing, i purchased this as a starter option (along with another type of melting container).
Despite that this is a whole different way vs some other melting ways, once you get the hang of it a bit, it’s actually quite nice.
Boil roughly 500ml water in the pot, (not fully boil, but like 80% through).
The melting pot can be in it the whole time.
After that, keep the furnace, induction, whatever source you use, at a simmer rate, so it keeps the heat up gradually.
Pouring with this is very easy. It has a nice wide pouring toute, on both sides (for left-hand and right-handed people).
The holding handle does not get warm, which is very good.
If you are just starting with candle making, this is a good training tool.
