It works. The body is metal. I output sound from the Ugoos set-top box via optical. I don’t know what the problem is, but very often a message pops up at the top of the screen saying that the audio sampling rate has changed from 48kHz to 44.1kHz and vice versa. Plus there are HUGE problems with the equalizer on the console; it constantly resets its settings.
I have no complaints about the product or the store. I am writing this simply so that people who are planning to output sound via SPDIF think twice because there are no advantages and there are inconveniences.

It works well, there are no strange sounds, and it connects well to the 3.5 port. I wanted it to connect my Samsung smart TV to my old Philips stereo, and it worked perfectly for me. It’s a better option than Bluetooth sound.

The version with a 3.5mm port is quite complete, the body is made of metal and very well packaged.
The Toslink cable is basic, I suggest changing it to one of better quality.
It must be said that the power light is very powerful, something that some people would not like.
