This tool is a fantastic copy of the leatherman surge. What makes it better is the standard hex bit holder, which is a huge upgrade from the surge’s proprietary bit system. The one major drawback, though, is that it’s not magnetic, so bits won’t stay put until you modify it. Still, i’m very happy with it overall.

Very good multitool. It’s hard to find something better at this price. This is actually my second DL30. One I carry in the car, and this one ended up in my escape backpack. In my EDC, I have a Leatherman, but honestly – if you value your money, you won’t notice any dramatic difference in everyday use. Surely in extreme conditions, the Leatherman will prove better, especially since the steel it’s made of seems to be of slightly higher quality, but for camping or simple tasks when we forgot a dedicated tool, both do the job equally well.
