The soldering iron works well and solders properly. However, it would be much better if the included solder wire had rosin core. The plain solder that comes in the kit is very hard to work with – without adding rosin flux or soldering acid, it’s almost impossible to make proper connections. A rosin-core solder would make this kit much more beginner-friendly.
