8 XL is size Large in the US. I bought these each for my brother’s and brother in law as Christmas gifts.

I am a 36/34 in men’s pants for US sizes. The XL is a good fit, they are a little short but not too bad. They are soft and very comfortable, I already ordered another pair.

I have purchased four pair. In the US I wear a 36/34. TheXL fits well in the waist but are a couple of inches too short for me. I love the fabric, very soft. I am only wearing them around the house, so I do not really care about the length. I will keep them and offer a great rating.

It took me buying four pair to find the exact style and fit I like, but worth it! They run short, if you do not get the band around the bottom of the leg, they will ride up. I am 5ft 11in, 202lb and highly recommend the Large with band around the bottom.
