Blue silicone thermal pad for the gap between a chip and its heatsink. Choose the thickness your gap needs, then choose whether you want one full sheet or a hundred small squares ready to drop into place.
- Six thicknesses: 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 3.0 and 5.0 mm. Thickness is the part worth getting right — the pad needs to fill the gap without having to be crushed into it.
- Whole sheet or pre-cut. Every thickness comes both ways. The plain option is a single 100 x 100 mm sheet you cut yourself; the option labelled “sliced” is the same sheet already divided into 100 squares of 10 x 10 mm.
- Pre-cut squares save the fiddly part of a memory-chip or VRM job — you lay them out rather than measuring and trimming a dozen small pieces by hand.
- Cuts cleanly with scissors or a sharp craft knife if you need a shape the squares will not cover.
- A 100 x 100 mm sheet goes a long way. Most laptop, console or graphics-card jobs use a fraction of one, so a single sheet usually covers the repair and leaves you stock for the next one.
Picking a thickness. Measure the gap between the component and the heatsink or cold plate before you order, and match it rather than rounding up: too thin leaves an air gap, too thick holds the heatsink off the die. If you are replacing pads on a specific board, the safest guide is what came out of it. Where a gap sits between two sizes, many people stack a thinner pad with a thicker one rather than forcing a single oversized pad. We have left thermal conductivity and temperature-range figures off this listing on purpose: the supplier’s spec sheet for this item is mixed up with specifications from a cooling fan, so we cannot stand behind those numbers.
