Picked this up on sale and it’s honestly a good little machine for the price. the ryzen 5 6650hs and 16gb of ddr5-6400 handle daily multitasking and light gaming smoothly. it stays surprisingly cool and quiet, and that extra ssd fan is a nice touch. the aluminum build feels solid and premium too, definitely worth it if you’re looking for a compact setup.

There are many BIOS restrictions, but that’s good. If you leave the fan on auto mode and run Cinebench once in a 30-degree indoor environment, it reaches a maximum of 84 degrees and scores around 9200 points.

At first, when I connected the HDMI, there was no screen, but after unplugging the power cable and waiting a few minutes, it connected. The RAM is LPDDR5 Specktech 4GB, 4 modules, and runs well at 6400. There is a bit of noise when fully loaded, but it’s not so loud that it’s really annoying.

I installed two M.2 NVMe drives, but the M.2 SATA (NGFF) drive is not being recognized.
The fan makes some noise in normal conditions, but it can be fixed inside the case and I have set the power setting to quiet in BIOS, so I am using it at a noise-free level.
When I checked the power usage with a wattmeter, it was about 18W in idle mode, so it consumes little electricity, but even in idle mode, I can feel quite a bit of heat coming from the cooling fan.
I like it except for the slightly higher basic heat generation compared to the n100 or 4-core Ryzen products, and the fact that it doesn’t support NGFF.

It’s small and cute, but the performance is good. The temperature for kids is around 40 degrees, which is fine, but even using a 1mm NVMe heatsink is tight, so be careful.

I was surprised that the box was a bit big, but the device itself is quite cute and delicate.
The cooling is designed to work both upwards and downwards, making it quite promising, and the case is designed to ensure overall effective cooling.
It’s a bit difficult to reapply thermal paste to the extent that you need to watch a video to do it.

I tried attaching the SSD heatsink with a 3mm thickness, but it gets caught on the fan.
It seems like it needs to be applied as a very thin type, less than 1mm.

I selected the EU outlet, but they sent a Korean-style cord. The noise is loud because it has dual fans, but it’s good that you can set it to 3 modes in the BIOS settings. However, when I tried to install the SSD, I unscrewed the screws and found that something was torn, possibly due to a screwdriver. One star off.

It’s an older model, but its performance is still quite adequate.
If the GPU performance is insufficient, use an eGPU with Oculink.
