I’m using Big Bang and IMS baskets, and the extraction is definitely easier compared to these, but I’m not sure about the taste… haha. I think I should definitely dose less than 18 grams! I’ll keep trying it!!

Maybe this product is the best filter basket in my experience. If you don’t have a precision grinder or if the grind size is too fine and the extraction happens too quickly, you can see the effect with this filter basket. Of course, it’s not the right style if you want a bright and juicy coffee, but if you’re looking for a full-bodied espresso, it would be a good choice.

Came in nice ikape box with moulded black foam and paperwork and basket retainer spring clip if needed..
Very good machine work and finish. Fits my 58 millimeter bottomless portafilter perfect tight. I did not need to use the included spring clip.
There are 2 size 58mm baskets with different depth to them. On size holds more grams of coffee grind. Make sure you chose the right one that holds the amount of grinds you want to use in making your espresso. 👍 👍

It does what it’s supposed to, i can grind coarser, it’s more forgiving and produces perfect coffee easier. On the plus vs other step down baskets i can use normal 58mm accessories like a distributor and tamper.
One small quirk is that it makes the portafilter thicker and i can’t turn it as much as i could with the native basket, but this experience largely depends on the portafilter.

Beautiful and balanced extraction if you know the appropriate grinding level; I tried extraction at 18 and 15 grams.
And they are all beautiful

Good quality basket the smaller and larger ones are essentially the same on the bottom. They seem to have the same characteristics. The smaller one needs at least 16 or 17g the larger one 20 or 21g otherwise you might not be able to tamp deep enough when the basket is underfilled. It’s got unique characteristics in flow and pressure where it starts flowing fast then slows down. Shots with a traditional medium roast with it have been good. Seems like a forgiving basket where even if it’s running fast or slow it doesn’t turn out too bad.
Larger one pokes through the bottom of a lay flat naked portafilter where smaller one does not, so if you want it to lay flat best to go with the smaller size. Also comes with its own retaining spring which doesn’t seem necessary. It’s a bit harder to clean than most standard baskets but easier to clean than a high extraction basket. Worked well for light roast spro over the one time i tried too!

Excellent, but you need to loosen the grind, which is normal due to the tightness of the basket at the bottom, and this is what the seller mentioned in the description.
The result is a significant increase in sweetness and a clear indication of the elimination of residues.
Use one of the three methods, all of which are effective:
– Disassemble the clumps, then use the distributor, and then extract.
-Disassembly of the clumps, then compression, and then extraction
– Disassemble the clumps, then use the distributor, then the plunger, and then extract.

It’s more difficult than I thought. I’m still adjusting it, but it seems like I need to significantly reduce the weight of the coffee beans or grind them much coarser. The second downside is that the holes are very small, making it difficult to clean. It would be nice to have a filter that can be placed underneath, but there isn’t one of this size.

A great basket even for espresso, in case you made mistakes in the preparation. The taste, density, and texture are excellent; this is already the second one I’ve bought when coffee needs to be prepared a bit faster for several people.

This basket is the hit. Tested with the Cera+Max/Ikape Kapo K2 pro. The coffee develops a great crema, is beautifully sweet and smooth in the mouth. Once I tried to grind finer and press 20g in. This caused water to leak out of the portafilter from the side and I “choke” the machine. My recommendation, and this has always worked so far, is 18.5g and the same grind size as the Bialetti. I am very excited and have just ordered the larger one.

Just by looking at the narrow extraction nozzle, it seems like it would emphasize sweetness and bitterness, but since it has depth and allows for coarse grinding, it seems like it extracts mainly flavor and acidity, unlike its appearance. I just received it and tried it once, so I haven’t figured out the grinding level yet, but it gives off a certain flavor. I wonder what it would be like when properly ground.

I’m using the Slayer machine and have tried several baskets to control channeling due to the high flow rate of the Slayer, and this one is the best among them. I’ve removed all the other baskets. It extracts an espresso with a nice sweetness and balance. Highly recommended.
