Rechargeable Motion-Sensor LED Light Bar – Magnetic, No Wiring, 10–50 cm, Warm or Cold White

A slim LED bar that comes on when you reach into the cupboard and goes off again by itself. There is no wiring and no switch to find in the dark — it charges by USB and sticks up in a minute.

• Lights up when it sees movement. A PIR sensor in the face of the bar does the switching, so your hands stay free for whatever you were carrying.
• Nothing to wire in. The battery is built in and charges over USB at 5 V, so it works in places with no socket — inside a wardrobe, a pantry, the back of a cupboard.
• Lifts straight off to charge. A thin steel plate sticks to the surface and magnets on the back of the bar hold it there; pull it off, charge it, put it back.
• Four lengths. 10, 20, 30 or 50 cm — the longer bars carry more LEDs, so pick the one that matches the shelf or run you want lit.
• Warm or cold white. Warm white is 3000–3500 K, cold white 6000–6500 K. ABS body, no assembly.

Picking a length and a colour

The 10 and 20 cm bars suit a single shelf, a stair edge or the inside of a wardrobe door; 30 and 50 cm are better under a run of kitchen cupboards or along a hallway skirting. For colour, warm white is the easier one to wake up to in a bedroom or landing, while cold white reads more like task light over a worktop or in a wardrobe where you are matching colours.

One thing we cannot tell you: the supplier does not publish the battery capacity, the run time between charges or how far the sensor reaches, so those are not quoted here rather than guessed at.
