A: Solar charging: 20 minutes of direct sunlight per day maintains continuous power.

DC charging: with a 5V/2A adapter, a full 5-hour charge lasting up to 4 months. Please fully charge the camera before installation.

Q: Does this camera support continuous video recording?

A: Regrettably, this battery camera does not offer continuous recording capabilities due to the consideration of the battery life. You may consider Reolink's other non-battery powered cameras.

Q: Does Argus PT Ultra support Auto tracking?

A: Yes. The Argus PT Ultra is equipped with Auto Tracking, a feature that was latest upgraded in July. It automatically detects and follows moving objects within its field of view.

Q: Is NAS or RTSP streaming supported?

A: This camera only facilitates remote access and live viewing through the Reolink App/Client. Support for RTSP and NAS integration is available by utilizing the Reolink Home Hub, with no subscription fees.

Q: Supports USB Type-A to USB Type-C cables only

A: When not utilizing the solar panel, this camera only supports charging via a USB Type-A to USB Type-C connection cable.

Q: What Does the PIR Sensor Work for?

A: PIR sensors are more sensitive to the infrared radiations from humans or animals, and thus can dramatically reduce false alarms caused by fluttering moths or flying twigs.

Its full name is passive infrared sensor. It measures the infrared (IR) light radiating from objects with a temperature above absolute zero. When the amount of infrared radiation changes, it triggers detection.

Q: Can this camera support time-lapse function?

A: Yes, the camera can support time-lapse. It can save time-lapse photos and videos to the SD card.

Q: Can I talk to someone via the Reolink App? (Two-way audio)

A: Yes, this security camera features two-way audio, which means you can listen and talk to someone in real time with simple clicks in App.

Q: Can this camera support smart home like Google Assistant?

A: Yes, currently, this camera can work with Google Assistant.

Q: How can I charge this camera? Is the solar panel a must?

A: You have two charging options (including solar charging):

Option 1. Have the camera connected to a solar paner for non-stop power supply.

Option 2. Charge the camera (with its non-removable battery) via a 5V 2A USB charger. (Please note that it's ok to charge the cam while it's working, but not for long.)

Q: How long does the battery last?

A: The camera comes with a rechargeable battery. Normally, the battery lasts for about 1-2 months per charge (Actual use varies based on settings, use conditions and environmental factors.) When the battery level goes down to 10%, the camera will send you a low-battery notification.

For non-stop power supply, you can connect the camera to a Reolink Solar Panel (purchased separately).

A: Yes, this camera supports person/vehicle/animal detection.

Q: Does the camera have an SD card?

A: No, the camera does not come with a micro SD card built in. But it has a micro SD card slot.

This camera supports Max. 128GB micro SD cards with FAT32 format and Class 10 or higher read & write speed.
