I did a test by placing a piece of toilet paper inside it, paying close attention to the closure of the 3 ziplock bags, and submerged it in a container filled with water. It floats, and no bubbles were detected indicating water ingress and air escape. The paper inside remained dry. Therefore, it is safe for storing your passport, money, and cards. I do not recommend it for mobile phones. I have another one similar to this one with the same type of closure that allows you to use your phone for calls and also use audio with a Bluetooth headset, hanging around your neck. This small bag is extremely necessary for solo travelers, when going for a dive and not having anyone to ensure the safety of valuable items. I loved it!! !

I bought it to use on a motorcycle in heavy rain and I think it’s great. Well… it has 3 ziplock closures and one of a different type, the plastic is thick like that of a child’s life jacket, I think it’s good for the price.
