Stainless Steel Sink Sponge Holders, Pack of 2 — Stick-On, No Drilling

Two small steel cradles that stick to the side of the sink and hold a sponge up off the surface so it can drain.

• Two in the pack, so the sponge and the scourer each get their own spot instead of sharing a puddle in the corner.
• No drilling. They fix with an adhesive backing, which means nothing goes through a tile, a worktop edge or a stainless surround.
• Open wire cradle — water runs off the sponge and back into the sink rather than sitting underneath it.
• Small enough to disappear: each holder is 5 x 5 x 4 cm and weighs about 30 g.
• Stainless steel, so it suits a steel sink or a chrome tap run without looking like an afterthought.

Fitting them. The adhesive wants a surface that is flat, smooth, clean and properly dry — the inside or outside wall of the sink, a tile splashback, or the side of a cupboard all work; textured stone, painted plaster and anything still damp do not. Degrease the spot first, press firmly for half a minute, and give it a few hours before you hang anything on it. The supplier does not publish a weight limit for the adhesive, so we have not quoted one: treat these as sponge and scourer holders rather than somewhere to hang a wet pan.
